For a town
that almost had to close its doors in the 1980's, Canmore
is now in full economic boom and Real Estate in this small
alpine village, is a rapidly growing commodity. More and more
people are choosing to use Canmore as a base for their outdoor
adventures since you cannot live in Banff unless you work
there and Calgary is too far away. We suppose this has a role
to play in giving Canmore its nickname of "the gateway
to the Canadian Rockies".
It's a
great place to visit and more and more people want to live
in Canmore. With the growth of the town
in the past few decades, the real estate market in Canmore
is extremely attractive and the purchasing of houses, condominiums
and commercial properties has escalated. It is predicted that
by the year 2015, there will be no more room to build in Canmore.
That's less than nine years away!
The Three Sisters Mountain
Village (TSMV) is Canmore's leatest housing development. It
is comprised of 2000 acres on the western side of Canmore,
at the foot of the Three Sisters Mountain. Once complete,
it will include 3,500 single family homes, two golf courses
- one which is now open - and six hotels.
For the golf and ski enthusiasts,
the avid mountain climber, fisherman, mountain biker, white-water
rafter or for someone looking for a terrific investment property,
the beautifull valley setting of Canmore is a dream come true.
Update
from the home front!
We are now proud owners of a condo in Canmore.
Well... fractional owners that is. We purchased 1/10th of
a unit with Sunset
Resorts Canmore, a huge resort along the Bow Valley Trail
right beside the hospital. Phase I is complete and Phase II
is expected to be finished in 2008. If you would like more
information on fractional ownership click
